1.  General: Lessee wishing to utilize the St. Kevin’s Parish Hall and other room spaces must adhere to the following policies as set out by the St. Kevin’s Parish Administrator and Wardens. Non-compliance will be subject to a penalty of up to $300.00
 
2.  Bookings: No bookings will be considered confirmed unless the Rental Agreement has been completed and the necessary fees paid. A security or reservation deposit is required to save the date and time of your event. One month before the date of your event, full payment must be paid. If the Lessee fails to do so, the Lessor reserves the right to cancel this agreement, and the security deposit will not be refunded. An invoice will be provided to the Lessee with the rental fee amount due. We highly recommend all payments be sent by e-transfer to [email protected]. Your security deposit sent electronically will be returned to you in the form of a cheque which you may claim in person or sent to you by mail upon request.
 
3.  Cancellations:  All cancellations will be refunded 60% up to 7 days before the rental. If cancelled within 7 days of rental, no refund will be given. 
 
4.  Security:  It is the responsibility of the lessee to control abusive language, rowdiness of spectators and alcohol in prohibited areas. If the lessee renting cannot keep this under control, any member of the Lessor may step in and shut down the event taking place. If this happens, the lessee will not be refunded and may forfeit any future rentals with the Lessor. In this case, it would be reviewed, and a decision will be made and handed down. All children under the age of 12 years must always be accompanied by an adult. If the lessee didn’t include the use of the stage, no children are allowed to play on the stage or behind the curtains on stage, without adult supervision. Loitering in the other rooms not included on the rental, or on staircases, toilets, etc. are not permitted. 

5.  Important Hours to remember:
                    a) Loud noise or music is not allowed between 4:30 pm and 6 pm (Saturday and Sunday) to prevent disruptions in the religious service in the Church.
                    b) As per the city bylaw, no noise is allowed in the parking lot, behind the church, after 11 p.m.
                    c) The rented spaces must be vacated no later than midnight, therefore Clean-up must be done at least 30 minutes, BEFORE YOUR RENTAL ENDS.  All tables, chairs and cleaning materials should be returned to their proper places. Lights should be turned off and all doors should be locked.
 
1.  Cleanliness and Proper Order: All areas are to be left in the same condition as they were found. Any damages to the Hall and other rooms, whether accidental or malicious, will be the responsibility of the Lessee. Additional charges will be laid depending on the extent of the damage and failure to pay this for the damages, the lessee will no longer be able to access the Hall and other rooms until repairing costs are paid in full. 
 
2. No Smoking:  We do not allow smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco or any other substances to be used in the building. Anyone caught using anything that falls under the regulations for Tobacco will be asked to leave the venue.
 
3.   Decorations:  Same-day setup only. The Lessee is allowed to decorate 2 hours before the start of the rental. All posters, balloons, and other type of decorations hung on walls must not leave any trace once removed. If it does, the cost to touch up the paint will be billed to the Lessor. Lessee must not leave any used decorations or other personal types of equipment in the rented spaces. The rolling wall dividers are not included in the rental, please do not use them as part of your decorations. 
 
4.   Kitchen: Clean up of the kitchen sink, counters, stove and floor is mandatory. Non-compliance will be subject to a $100 penalty. Use of Kitchen does not include use of utensils and dishes.
 
5.   Garbage Disposal: All designated areas used during rentals must be cleaned up and all garbage disposed of in the garbage cans. Garbage bags must be tied up. Leave them in their designated bins. As per City by-law, compost bins and recycle bins must be used during rental. Failure to comply, and if the City penalize the Lessor, the cost will be billed to the Lessor.
 
6. Alcohol: The lessee is responsible for applying for an alcohol permit online if they are serving alcohol (Régie des alcools). A copy must be submitted to the Lessor. Otherwise, consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden on church premises. If caught with alcohol, violation of this rule will result in a penalty of $200 and will be asked to leave the premises. 
  1. Hall Entrance After 6:00 PM
 Please be advised that after 6:00 PM, access to the hall will be restricted to the back doors of either the Blue room or the Green room, located near the parking lot. The doors on the Dupuis side of the church will be locked at this time.

 2. Liability Insurance for One-Time Renters
 Please be aware that the church’s liability insurance policy does not cover one-time renters. The Parish is not liable for any injury or loss incurred. One-time renters are responsible for securing their own liability insurance. The Parish does not provide single-event liability insurance.

  
 
 
 
Assumption of Risk
 
I/We _________________________ (print name) will not hold the Lessor responsible for any damages and/or injuries to person(s) or property caused by my own or guest’s/participant’s negligence, intentional acts, or other fault, arising out of my use of the facility. The St. Kevin’s Parish is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, this includes any loss incurred to the vehicles and its contents, and while parked in the church’s parking area. Any items left will be discarded.
